Anxiety Therapy for Teen Girls in Hollywood, FL
Anxiety can make even ordinary parts of life feel overwhelming. School, friendships, family expectations, and worries about what others think can take up so much space that it becomes difficult to relax or feel like yourself. Anxiety therapy for teens can offer support when worry begins to take over every day life.
You might replay conversations, overthink small decisions, or feel pressure to get everything right. Maybe you keep your feelings inside because you do not want to disappoint anyone—or become irritable, withdrawn, or emotional when everything feels like too much. Even when others tell you not to worry, your mind and body may not know how to stop.
Therapy offers a place where you do not have to pretend you are fine or have the right words. Together, we will make sense of what your anxiety is expressing, explore the experiences and relationship patterns connected to it, and help you feel more confident, grounded, and secure in who you are.
Does this feel familiar?
Your mind rarely feels quiet.
You replay conversations, imagine what could go wrong, and worry about things others seem able to brush off.
You feel pressure to get everything right.
A mistake, disappointing grade, or change in someone’s tone can leave you doubting yourself.
You hold everything inside until it becomes overwhelming.
You may appear fine at school or with friends, then become irritable, tearful, or withdrawn when you get home.
Friendships feel complicated and exhausting.
You worry about being left out, misunderstood, judged, or replaced, even when no one realizes how deeply it affects you.
In Our Work Together
Anxiety therapy for teens is not only about quieting the worry; it is also a place to understand what may be happening beneath it.Therapy offers a space where you do not have to pretend everything is fine or find the perfect words. We will begin with what feels most important to you and move at a pace that allows you to feel comfortable, understood, and respected.
Together, we will explore the worries, emotions, experiences, and relationship patterns connected to your anxiety, not simply how to make the feelings disappear. As you begin to understand yourself more deeply, you can put difficult feelings into words, trust yourself more fully, and respond to challenges with greater confidence and freedom.
Anxiety Therapy for Teens in Hollywood, FL, Can Help You Feel More Like Yourself
With greater understanding, anxiety does not have to make every decision for you. Therapy can help you recognize what is happening beneath the worry, feel more comfortable expressing your emotions, and respond to difficult situations without becoming as overwhelmed.
Over time, you can begin to trust yourself more, feel steadier in friendships and family relationships, and become less consumed by what others might think. You may feel more able to tolerate uncertainty, speak up about what you need, and make choices based on what matters to you rather than what feels safest in the moment.
The goal is not to eliminate anxiety completely or expect you to become a different person. It is to understand what your anxiety is communicating, feel less controlled by it, and develop a stronger, more secure sense of who you are.
MEET YOUR ANXIETY THERAPIST FOR TEEN GIRLS IN HOLLYWOOD, FL
I’m Tamar Levine, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who helps teen girls better understand themselves and navigate anxiety, friendships, family relationships, identity, and overwhelming emotions.
I know that many teens arrive in therapy unsure about opening up—or worried that an adult will tell them what to do, judge their choices, or immediately report everything to their parents. I work to create a relationship where your daughter feels respected, understood, and able to speak honestly without pressure to share before she is ready.
My approach is warm, relational, and insight-oriented. Rather than focusing only on managing symptoms, I help teens become curious about what their anxiety may be expressing and how their experiences and relationships have shaped the way they feel. As trust and understanding grow, your daughter can develop greater confidence in herself, put difficult emotions into words, and relate to others in healthier, more authentic ways.

Your Questions About Anxiety Therapy for Teen Girls, Answered
-
Some anxiety is a normal part of adolescence. Therapy may be helpful when worry, perfectionism, irritability, avoidance, physical discomfort, or emotional overwhelm begins affecting your daughter’s confidence, relationships, school experience, or ability to enjoy her life. She does not need to be in crisis to benefit from having a supportive space of her own.
-
It is common for teens to feel hesitant, especially if therapy was a parent’s idea. I do not expect your daughter to arrive ready to share everything. I begin by getting to know her, respecting her pace, and helping her experience therapy as a space where her perspective matters. Therapy is most helpful when parents encourage participation without pressuring a teen to discuss specific subjects.
-
Sessions are guided by what feels most relevant to your daughter. We may talk about anxiety, friendships, school, family relationships, identity, or emotions that have been difficult to understand or express. My goal is not to interrogate her or give constant advice, but to help her feel understood and develop a deeper understanding of herself.
-
A teen needs privacy for therapy to feel safe and meaningful. I do not routinely share the details of sessions with parents. I will involve you if I have a serious concern about your daughter’s safety or when legally or ethically required. When appropriate, I may discuss broader themes or ways you can support her while protecting the trust we are building in therapy.
-
Parents remain an important part of a teen’s support system. Depending on your daughter’s needs, I may recommend an initial parent conversation or occasional parent consultation sessions. These meetings can help us understand what you are observing and explore how you can support your daughter without turning her individual sessions into reports about what she has shared.
-
No. Anxiety often overlaps with sadness, low confidence, perfectionism, friendship difficulties, family conflict, identity concerns, grief, or challenging life transitions. We can make room for whatever your daughter is experiencing rather than limiting therapy to a single symptom or diagnosis.
-
I generally meet with teens once a week. Consistent sessions allow time to build trust and give us the continuity needed to understand what is contributing to her struggles. The length of therapy varies depending on her needs and what she hopes to gain from the work.
-
My fee is $250 for a 50-minute session. I am an out-of-network provider and can provide a monthly superbill for you to submit for possible reimbursement if your insurance plan includes out-of-network mental-health benefits.
